A stunningly presented three-bedroom family home which has been refurbished to an incredibly high standard. It features a highly desirable open-plan kitchen dining space and also a separate reception room, two bathrooms, and a beautiful master bedroom in the loft conversion.
Located near both West Norwood High St and West Dulwich, this beautifully styled home offers you options in terms of transport, restaurants, coffee shops, etc, and offers fantastic space that is well distributed across all three floors.
The ground floor space is set up brilliantly for entertaining and dinner parties, but also for family life; the open kitchen dining space is very versatile and will also appeal to those who don’t necessarily want an open-plan space as there is a front reception, which can provide a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. The front reception is a lovely bright room as it has a southern aspect, meaning it gets sun in the middle of the day, but the quality plantation shutters do a grand job at keeping it cool, and in the winter you can make it cosy with the wood burner! There are also original wood floors and period coving and picture rails, which makes for quite a charming room, overall it blends classic period features with modern style.
The kitchen is really beautifully finished, with solid wood worktops, metro tiles and integrated appliances; there’s also a charming butler sink, which adds character! Not only is the kitchen very smart, but it’s also incredibly functional, and the mini range cooker with gas hob will bring a smile to the face of the discerning cooks among us. The kitchen opens onto the courtyard garden via bi-folding doors, which is fabulous in the summer and really does open up the space into the courtyard, ideal when entertaining!
On the first floor are two double bedrooms and a stunning bathroom. The bathroom boasts a freestanding roll-top bath, a walk-in shower and elegant period-style fittings, which are a classy nod to the heritage of the building. The bedrooms are both nicely sized double rooms, and both have integrated wardrobes. Like the reception below, the front-facing bedroom has a southern aspect, making it wonderfully bright in the day and there are also plantation shutters.
The loft conversion room is a stunning space that is incredibly bright throughout the day due to the south-facing skylights and the large French doors on the opposite side, which overlook the back of the house. There’s clever integrated storage and a bathroom off the landing providing a very stylish space to get ready, making it a fabulous master bedroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with beautiful pastel-pink tiles and an integrated rain shower, it’s worth mentioning the finish of the bathroom, as it is insanely good and the attention to detail is fantastic.
Location-wise, you are set back from the hustle & bustle of West Norwood but just a stone’s throw from some fantastic pubs, cafes and coffee shops, such as the Great North Wood, Otter & Knowles of Norwood to name a few. The Rosendale Pub is just down the road (0.2mi away), which does really good food and would surely become your local, it’s got a nice outside space where you can watch the world go by! Just slightly further up Rosendale Road, you have the incredible Scotch meats butchers, whose selection of meats and fine foods is a sensation, and the area is incredibly lucky to have them here, there are also a barbers, dry cleaners, organic grocers, Italian grocers and some other indie shops too.
